“What are you saying Robert Sir! That the boy should draw pictures and not work in computer fields? Thousands of people are so successful in computers!”

My head was reeling hearing all this, ‘Can companies just throw you out of your job like this? I knew about cartoon films- but never thought about the people who draw the cartoons- and that’s their job!’

“I am not saying that David”, continued Robert Sir, “Look at yourself. You are a successful farmer. There are many farmers who have the same amount of land as you, or even more. But you are doing better than all of them. You understand the market, you know what to grow in which year, how to keep your soil fertile, which tractor to buy and whom to sell to. You enjoy learning about these things. Why do you think the others are not doing so well as you?”.

“Hmm…”, said David Uncle, “I never thought about whether I liked farming or was good at it, but looking back I realize that this is something I enjoy and am good at. Though things are getting difficult the way prices change and the weather changes.”
