Sometimes what seems like a small decision of getting up late becomes a pattern which is difficult to break. Shalu would not have thought that missing class for a day could become a pattern. Sometimes we get tempted by short-term benefits and focus more on what we want in that particular moment. Shalu was focussing more on the immediate benefit of getting more sleep. In that moment she wanted to sleep, but she didn’t think that what she wanted most was to get selected for the tournament.
So, there are certain things to be remembered before making decisions
What will be the consequences of my decisions?
Is what I gain immediately more important or what I want to achieve later more important?
How will the decision affect me and others?
Am I choosing this just because I want to be like others?
Am I deciding this based on other’s opinions? Have I checked all the facts?
Considering these points before making a decision will help you in better decision-making.
