Many decisions made by us have both short-term and long-term consequences.  Let’s look at an example to understand this better.

Manish was studying in class 9 in a small town. One of his friends Rakesh, stopped attending school and moved to a nearby city to work as a mechanic. During festivals he came to the town and showed things like mobile phone and sunglasses which he purchased with his income. Manish too wanted to buy such things but his parents couldn’t afford these. Manish talked to Rakesh and moved to the city to work at the same garage. Manish was an average student and his parents requested him to not leave his studies. But he was too tempted to lead an independent life and start earning. After a few years his fellow classmates completed their school. Some even went to polytechnic or college. They were earning better incomes than him. But Manish still remained in his low-income job in the garage. Did Manish make a good decision of not attending school? What made Manish take the decision of leaving school? Think about it
