  • What is the girl in the situation feeling?

  • She used to play with other boys and girls, so what has changed?

  • What do you think the parents are worried about?

  • Are girls and boys treated differently, especially when they reach adolescence?

  • Are girls in the class allowed to play? What games do you play? Do you face a similar situation at home?

  • What options can there be for the girl in the situation?

Suggested advice: Playing is as important for girls as it is for boys. It is necessary for good health and for a happy childhood. Talk to your parents about this. If your parents are concerned for your safety, get together a group of girls who feel as you do, and find a safe place to play. If you are part of a group, your parents can be assured of your safety; also the neighbours might then stop pointing fingers at you.
