The argument between Rema and Ropuia ended their play. All the kids went home.  Rema entered his house walking merrily and singing ‘dhoom macha le dhoom macha le dhoom’. Rema’s mother was curious as she found Rema in a good mood. She thought he would be upset because their play got interrupted and he had an argument with his friend. She asked, “Rema you almost fought with your friend, how come you are so cheerful?’’ Rema replied, “Arey that was hardly a fight mumma. Ropuia was annoyed because I tore his favourite shirt. How can a muddy brown shirt be anyone’s favourite!’’ His mother was surprised at this statement. She said, “Rema, because your favourite colour is green it does not mean that all other colours are ugly. Everyone has a right to choose what they like.’’ Rema was not interested in listening to his mother anymore. He was mumbling, ‘Oh God, one of those preachy lectures again.’ He interrupted her and said, “Mumma, forget about colours. Give me some food. I am famished.’’ Ropuia was not able to sleep properly that night. He kept thinking, ‘How can Rema say that my shirt is ugly. He has no aesthetic sense. Just because I don’t comment about his clothes doesn’t mean that he’s the best dressed.’
