Life does not always go the way we want. Sometimes we are faced with problems. Today we will look at ways in which we can deal with problems by discussing the story of a girl called Lali
Story
Lali’s father died a few months ago, while coming home from the factory where he worked. He had just got off the bus when a speeding car lost control, climbed on to the pavement, hit him and sped away. He was rushed to the hospital but died on to the way, leaving his family of 5 without any income; apart from the dues (money) that factory gave them. For a few months they managed with that money but now there is very little left. Lali’s mother has already begun working as a domestic help in 4 houses but it’s not enough. Her two younger brothers, twins, are in standard 4. Her grandmother is at home, bent and frail after losing her son, but managing the housework, while Lali’s mother is at work.
Lali is in Std IX, but her mother has told her that she may have to leave school if they can’t make enough money. She is terribly upset by this because she has always been a good student and was planning to join a nurse diploma course after Std X.
