Meanwhile, we feel frustrated and helpless; we feel angry and do not know what to do to express our anger. What should we do in such situations ? Should we just ignore or suppress these emotions ? Or should we express them unthinkingly, in any way we like ? Neither of these options is advisable, since the conflict persists and we continue to feel negative all the time; we find it difficult to perform our day-to-day tasks efficiently. These emotions can have an adverse effect on our health and self-confidence too. Above all, we are unable to be happy and comfortable with the people around us. </b></p>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b id=\"docs-internal-guid-20b8619f-b20f-2ea8-bf83-2714c637c5c7\">What we need to learn, therefore, is to deal with and manage our anger and frustration. How can we do this ? Let us see through the story of Pranjol.</b></p>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b id=\"docs-internal-guid-20b8619f-b20f-2ea8-bf83-2714c637c5c7\">Pranjol looked at the small piece of fish on his plate. \u201cWhy so little for me ?\u201d he demanded of his mother. \u201cYou know I like fish head ! I want it !\u201d he insisted. The fish head was usually his, but not since Lala had come. Lala, who loved fish head too; Lala, who was the guest and so must be pampered ! It was too much, thought Pranjol. His family and his home had been taken over by their guests \u2013 distant relatives from Assam who had come over for a job interview for their daughter, but had brought the entire family along to visit Mumbai \u2013 all five of them, including Lala, the youngest, who was about the same age as Pranjol. And this was not the first time either; their house was always full of guests. Sometimes Pranjol thought that the whole of Assam must have passed through their house ! It was like living in a railway station.</b></p>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b id=\"docs-internal-guid-20b8619f-b20f-2ea8-bf83-2714c637c5c7\">He had no place to call his own \u2013 to study or sleep or watch TV. &nbsp;Just yesterday he had wanted to watch an episode of his favourite TV programme but Lala\u2019s dad was watching the news. So of course, Pranjol had missed his episode. \u201cHe is older than you and a guest. What\u2019s so important about your programme ? It comes every day !\u201d his father had said. \u201cWhat\u2019s so important about the news ? It comes every day too !\u201d Pranjol retorted and got a slap and a ban on watching TV for a month.</b></p>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b id=\"docs-internal-guid-20b8619f-b20f-2ea8-bf83-2714c637c5c7\">Nowadays his parents and grandparents were constantly busy with the visitors. His mother especially was occupied from the moment she awoke \u2013 she had no time for him. On the contrary, she expected Pranjol to get involved too \u2013 to run errands or share his books and toys or even his clothes with Lala. Of course, the use of the bathroom, a place to sleep, everything had to be adjusted according to the guests\u2019 convenience. But what Pranjol hated the most was the constant comparison between him and Lala \u2013 how Lala was well-behaved, good at studies, hardworking, obedient, a perfect saint ! And when Pranjol\u2019s grandfather started yelling at him for getting poor marks in the last test (that too in front of Lala) it was the last straw. Pranjol wanted to run away from home and never come back \u2013 he felt so hurt and humiliated !</b></p>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b id=\"docs-internal-guid-20b8619f-b20f-2ea8-bf83-2714c637c5c7\">Pranjol pushed the plate away and got up. He was too angry to eat; his stomach was tight with frustration. His mother called after him, he heard his father shout, \u201cWhat is the matter with this boy these days ? He has never behaved so badly before !\u201d Pranjol walked out of the house and began to play with a ball all by himself, hitting it on the wall, hitting it real hard. What he really wanted to do was to scream.</b></p>",
