Our mother is always complaining about us to her friend. She says that we spend all our time in front of the mirror. That’s not true, but what’s wrong with trying to look nice? When I put gel on my hair she calls me a ghost and when Rina puts on make-up she calls her a witch. Rina does put on too much make-up sometimes, but I think that I look nice! Just because our parents are old fashioned doesn’t mean we have to be the same. Both Rina and I have part-time jobs. Why shouldn’t we spend our money on whatever we want? Mother keeps saying, ‘Save, save, save!’ I just want to enjoy myself like my friends. Rina is very weird, though. She sits for hours and moans about her looks and says she is ugly and wants to die. I tell her that being young is great and we should enjoy this phase of life! What do you think?
