Importance of measurement in our daily lives as well as in the scientific world
In our day to day life we use many different measurement units like kilogram, meter, kilometer, liter etc in different contexts. There are different equipments such as scale, weighing balance, beaker etc. to measure these physical quantities.
In the scientific world, there are standardized units for all the physical quantities. For example kilogram is the unit of mass, meter is the unit of length.
Standardization of measurement units is important for uniformity. For example, 1 meter length in India will be equal to 1 meter in U.S.A. too.
There might be possiblities of errors also. To reduce error one should;
1. Repeat the measurement activity number of times.
2. Take care of the least count of the scale.
3. Take care of other parameters that may affect the activity.
